Meet your teacher
Ms Dora Lim
Dora holds a Master of Music in Performance and a Bachelor of Music (Hons) from the Royal College of Music in London — one of the pioneering Singaporean harpists to earn a degree there. She has performed as a soloist, chamber and orchestral musician across Singapore, the UK, France and Taiwan, at venues including the Esplanade, the National Concert Hall (Taiwan) and the Britten Theatre in London.
What sets her apart is not only her credentials, but the genuine care she brings to every lesson. She notices what other teachers might miss, celebrates every small win, and never rushes a student past the simple joy of playing.

In their words
Loved by students & parents
“I began learning the harp at the age of 60. It has been 3 years and I am still continuing and enjoying the harp, all thanks to Dora — learning the harp has helped me relax my mind and improve my hand coordination.”
“Faith received her Grade 4 results today — she did very well with a distinction and we are very pleased. Thank you for your guidance and teaching.”
“Dora spots the mistakes I didn't even notice I was making and makes good suggestions on how I can improve. I would not be at the level I am now if I tried to self-teach.”
“During lessons I can feel her true passion for the harp, which inspires me to keep improving. She has been incredibly patient with me and I am extremely grateful to have such a kind teacher.”
“She always simplifies complex music theories and techniques to help me understand effortlessly. With her constant motivation and patience, I achieved a distinction in my Grade 5 harp examination.”
“As an absolute beginner with no prior music background, learning the harp seemed daunting — but Dora has made it an incredibly rewarding experience. Patient, approachable, and she tailors each lesson.”
“Ms Dora Lim is gentle and patient with her pupils. Her musical credentials need no second mention. If you wish to go the harp road, she is more than able to walk with you to wherever you want to go.”
